Last blog post ever and i can say i am more than happy of what i have accomplished. In these past 12 weeks there have been blood, sweat, tears, and doubt. But through all of the adversity i completed my goal for right now but i will not be satisfied with it. When trying to chase a dream you can never be satisfied because there will be always some one better than you out there but you can level the playing field by how hard your willing to put in the work. This is my 4th week and core and in 4 weeks i look a lot different from when i started also i am up 5 pounds of muscle. The future is bright for me and i know i can get were i want to be with a great work ethic.

Its crazy how fast time has went by and now we are in week 11 of genius hour. I have learned a lot through this process and a lot about myself. I learned that if i step break the barrier of either being like everyone else or become different i can do anything i put my mind to. This past weekend i hit 76 from flat ground no mound no nothing and this brought me so much excitement. Its really stress reveling when you see all your hard work really transfer to your craft. I hit 81 from the mound i have completed my goal in under the amount of time i have had. I actually one up my goal and i couldn't be more proud of my self. Some days were a lot harder than other trying to find the motivation and drive to work on my craft. Its only up from here looking to be in the mid to high 80s by summer time and sitting 83-84 by spring. It is now my 3rd week being at Kore training and I love it. Its a lot of one on one work between me and jay and him critiquing my form in a bunch of small ways. I have thrown a couple more times these past few weeks and i feel like my form has got a lot cleaner and i am really whipping the ball. I can only go Monday and Tuesday this week with thanksgiving coming and everything shutting down. This break will be good for my whole body and will get back it after the break. This week is the 2nd week going to kore training and I am still getting the hang of the routine. My first workout this week left me sore in every part of my body and i go back to work out Wednesday and Thursday. I have finally made a consistent schedule of Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday. I threw my first bull pen of the winter on Tuesday and it felt really good but still some things to tweak.First week workouts at kore went great but left me super sore. My first day was an evaluation/getting on the table and getting massaged and my arm loosen up. This place is very promising for me and the guy that i work out with Jay knows exactly what he is doing. He told me if i stick to working out and throwing 3 days a week every week i can get to 83 mph by winter time. Also eating aThis weekend was our last tournament and we went out on a very good note, going 4-0 and winning the ship. I wasn't used that much this weekend i only threw 32 pitches 21 of those were strikes, striking out one. Off season time is here and it/.s time to get faster, stronger, and a lot more flexible.
This weekends tournament was one of the best tournaments we have played. We runned ruled every team we faced going 4-0 and scoring 50 runs. In this picture is are starting 4 pitchers, we all completed are games that we had started in. My personal stat line was 5ip,2 runs allowed, striking out 3, and only walking two. I was a bit upset because those walks ruined my shut out, so for up in coming starts I just have to be smarter on the pitches I throw and when I throw them. We have one more tournament this up in coming weekend before we take a break until spring ball starts. I think this week I am just going to give everything a rest and just do light stretching because I want my last start to be my best start. Also this weekend I touched 77 so that is a new personal best and I was very pleased about that. Hopefully this weekend I can go up one noch ending the season reaching 78 witch will be a huge win going into off season. It is tournament week so therefore i have to get back into the routine of things to get ready. This weeks focus is heavy lifting arms and legs and working on mechanics and throwing bullpens. For the lifting aspect i will be doing Front squats, back squats, dead lifts, heavy dumbbell lunges, and heavy step-ups. For arms i will be doing Bench, dumbbell bench, curls, hammerheads, triceps pull downs,push-ups, and weighted jump ropes. As far as the mechanic side goes just working and making sure my glove gets tucked in to my left side causing my throwing side to wip around quick. For this weekend i am just looking to have a high strike percentage, less walks, and a couple more Ks.Hopefully hitting a new velo pr,thats my goal every tournament to get one + what i got last weekend.
This Past Weekend i had a decent showing while sitting 74-76 the whole weekend. I gave up 3 runs 5 hits 3 walks and 5 strike outs. This is a win in my opinion because i normally sit any were from 73-74-75 but for me to be sitting 74-76 constantly is improvement. For this week i I am going to be working on mechanical stuff but also letting my arm rest just because of how much it has been used. A lot of people think arm care isn't important but it effects so much like tightness, soreness, and flexibility. This week is all gonna be about heavy lifting and throwing in preparation for this weekends tourney. I feel like i am making progress on velo but the results arent quite there, two weekends ago i was still sitting 77 and i was really hoping i would have hit a pr. But i cant rush it and have to realize its going to take time, yes i was down about it but it only motivated me more. But as far as this week goes i will be hitting heavy legs and light arms just because i am stil going to be throwing and i dont want to be tight and sore. |
